About This Product
A photocatalytic plant cell bioreactor is a special device for cultivating plant cells, algae or photosynthetic organisms, which can provide suitable light, temperature, gas and nutrient conditions to promote photosynthesis. This device is usually used to study and produce products related to plant cells, such as drugs, food supplements, spices, biofuels, etc.
Working Principle
The core principle of the light plant cell bioreactor is to enable plant cells or algae to photosynthesize and synthesize biomass by providing a continuous light source. Through the automation system, the reactor precisely controls the culture conditions such as light intensity, temperature, pH value, gas supply (such as carbon dioxide) and nutrient solution supply. Through photosynthesis, plant cells convert carbon dioxide and water into oxygen and organic matter, promoting cell growth and accumulation of metabolites.
Design Features
- Lighting system: The reactor is equipped with high-efficiency LED light sources or fluorescent lamps, which can provide uniform and adjustable light intensity, simulate natural light conditions, and meet the photosynthesis needs of plant cells.
- Gas control system: The concentration of carbon dioxide and oxygen is adjusted by a precision control system to ensure proper gas balance and maintain the continuous photosynthesis.
- Temperature control system: The equipment can accurately adjust the temperature to simulate the most suitable growth environment for plant cells and prevent overheating or overcooling from adversely affecting cell growth.
- Nutrient solution circulation system: The nutrient solution supply system in the reactor ensures that plant cells can continuously obtain the nutrients needed for growth, and keeps the liquid uniform through stirring or gas lifting system.
- Transparent reactor material: usually made of transparent glass or transparent plastic so that the light source can effectively penetrate and enable the operator to observe the cell growth inside.
- Automated control system: integrated automatic control of temperature, light intensity, gas concentration and pH value, etc., to ensure precise regulation and stability during the culture process.
Main components
- Light source system: high-efficiency LED lamp or fluorescent lamp array, used to provide the spectrum and intensity required for photosynthesis, and the photoperiod and intensity can be adjusted according to experimental needs.
- Reactor container: usually a transparent cylindrical or rectangular design, the material is mostly corrosion-resistant glass or transparent plastic to ensure uniform distribution of light.
- Gas supply system: through gas diffusers or bubble generators, carbon dioxide and oxygen are supplied to support photosynthesis and metabolic processes.
- Stirring system: prevent plant cells from settling, ensure that the nutrient solution and gas are evenly distributed in the reactor, and some reactors also use a gas stirring system.
- Sensor: used to monitor the temperature, pH value, light intensity and gas concentration during the culture process to ensure the controllability and stability of the culture conditions.
